Inside The Workshop
Fotis Kontos, the leading figure behind Phos Byzantino, and his associates are fascinated by the ideals and symbols of greek culture throughout history. They also carry a profound knowledge of jewellery making techniques passed on to them from older craftsmen skilled in filigree, granulation, hammering and other traditional jewellery making techniques.
They create jewellery that combine the traditions of ancient Greece and Byzantium with new elements and techniques, thereby reviving greek silver and gold smithing.
Their creations are original, sometimes one-of-a-kind, inspiring and recalling deep emotions and exciting experiences. You may witness some of the stages of this complex and interesting process during your store visit.
